This 45 Long Colt cartridge by Sellier & Bellot sports a 230 grain projectile, which is a common bullet weight for its caliber. The bullet features a 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc jacket, which hardens it substantially so that it can easily penetrate targets. The bullet also features a cavity in its tip that causes it to expand dramatically during penetration, an ability amplified by the notches around its jacket’s tip.
