AR Bolt Carriers interchangeable with different uppers? Is it okay to use the same bolt carrier group on a new barrel?
As you may know, the bolt carrier group (BCG) is the heart of an AR-15 rifle. It’s what houses the bolt and cycling components, and it’s what ensures reliability in your firearm.
With that being said, it’s important to note that not all BCGs are created equal. Various factors can affect a BCG’s performance, such as materials used, coatings applied, and so on.
In general, most BCGs are indeed interchangeable. As long as the BCG you’re using is compatible with your AR-15 receiver and barrel extension, then you should be good to go.
Of course, there are always exceptions to the rule, so it’s always best to consult with a firearms expert before making any final decisions.
