Is it really any better? Why pay extra to get a nickel boron bolt carrier group? Any thoughts on the advantages?
Thanks!

A nickel boron coating on a bolt carrier group refers to a microscopiclayer of nickel and boron that is applied to the metal surfaces of the bolt carrier group.
The nickel and boron form an alloy that is harder than the underlying metal, providing a protective coating that can reduce wear and tear, increase lubricity, and improve corrosion resistance. Nickel boron coatings are also typically easier to clean and more resistant to fouling than standard phosphate coatings.
