Muzzle Brake or Flash Hider? What\’s the difference?
Thanks.

There is some overlap, but a muzzle brake is designed to redirect propellant gases forward and down to help counter recoil. A flash suppressor is designed to reduce the visible signature of a rifle shot by trapping burning gunpowder residue and gas in small chambers and deflecting them away from the shooter’s line of sight. Some muzzle brakes also serve as effective flash suppressors.
