Is there a real difference between the parts kit outside of the trigger and grip?
No. There are a few different types of lower parts kits, and the type you need will depend on the type of AR-15 you have.
For example, there are two main types of AR-15 lowers: those with a Fixed Rear Sight (FS) and those with a Detachable Rear Sight (DS). If you have an FS lower, you’ll need an LPK that includes a rear sight block assembly. If you have a DS lower, you’ll need an LPK that includes a pistol grip screw and bolt catch plunger.
There are also different types of takedown pins, pivot pins, and buffer tubes, so it’s important to make sure you get the right LPK for your specific firearm.
