How often do you clean your revolver? Do you recommend removing the grips each time I clean the gun?
Depending on the type of gun and the material of the grips, they should be cleaned anywhere from once a week to once a year.
If you have a revolver with wooden grips, for example, you should clean them at least once a week using a mild detergent and a soft cloth. If your revolver has rubber or plastic grips, you can clean them once a month with soapy water and a soft cloth.
If you have an automatic pistol with plastic grips, you should clean them every 3-6 months with soapy water and a soft cloth. And if you have an automatic pistol with wooden grips, you should clean them every 6-12 months using furniture polish or wax.
