It can be a little tricky to remove the flash suppressor from an AR-15, especially if you’ve never done it before. Here’s a quick guide on how to do it:
- Make sure the rifle is unloaded and pointed in a safe direction.
- Remove the bolt carrier group and set it aside.
- Use a wrench or barrel nut tool to loosen the flash suppressor from the barrel.
- Twist the flash suppressor off of the barrel.
- Install your new flash suppressor by reversing these steps. Make sure to tighten it securely with a wrench or barrel nut tool.
You may find it helpful to use a thread locker like Loctite on the threads of the flash suppressor, to ensure it stays securely attached to the barrel.
