There are a few ways to clean choke tubes, but the most effective way is to use a dedicated choke tube cleaning tool. These tools resemble small brushes and have stiff bristles that will effectively remove any dirt, debris, or carbon buildup from the inside of your choke tubes.
To use one of these tools, simply insert it into the bore of your choke tube and rotate it back and forth until the bristles have thoroughly scrubbed the entire surface. Then, rinse the tube with hot water to remove any cleaning solution residue.
If you don’t have a dedicated choke tube cleaning tool, you can also use a regular cleaning brush (like those used for firearms). Again, simply insert the brush into the bore of the tube and rotate it back and forth until the entire surface has been scrubbed clean.
Another option is to soak your choke tubes in a cleaning solution for a few hours before scrubbing them with a brush. This will help loosen any stubborn dirt or debris that may be clinging to the inside of the tube.
No matter which method you use, be sure to thoroughly clean and inspect your choke tubes regularly. This will help ensure that they are functioning properly and help extend their lifespan.
