There are a few different ways to clean your choke tubes, depending on how dirty they are. If they’re just lightly soiled, you can simply run a cleaning rod with a patch down the tube to remove any debris. For more stubborn dirt, you may need to use a bore brush or a small caliber shotgun brush.
If your choke tubes are very dirty, you may need to soak them in solvent overnight. Be sure to use a safe solvent that won’t damage the finish on your tubes. After soaking, scrub the tubes with a brush and run another cleaning rod through them to remove any remaining residue.
Once your choke tubes are clean, be sure to oil them before storing them away to prevent rust.
