Before you start, gather together the following materials:
- gun case
- line fabric
- scissors
- measuring tape
- upholstery pins
- Measure the length and width of your gun case. Cut a piece of lining fabric to these dimensions, plus 1/2 inch on all sides.
- Center the fabric wrong side up on the bottom of the case. Pin in place along all four edges.
- Fold one short edge of the fabric up 1/2 inch and press with an iron. Then fold it up another 1/2 inch and press again. Repeat on the other short edge.
- Fold one long edge of the fabric over 1/2 inch, then again over 1/2 inch. Pin in place.
- Sew a seam along both short edges and one long edge, using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Start and stop your stitching 1/2 inch from each end of the fabric to create a 1-inch gap.
- Trim the corners of the fabric at an angle, making sure not to cut through the stitching.
- Turn the fabric right side out through the opening in the long edge seam. Press flat with your hands, then uses an iron to press the seams open.
- Insert your gun into the case and close the opening in the seam.
That’s it! Your gun case is now ready to use.
