How to line a gun case?

Before you start, gather together the following materials:

• gun case
• line fabric
• scissors
• measuring tape
• upholstery pins

1. Measure the length and width of your gun case. Cut a piece of lining fabric to these dimensions, plus 1/2 inch on all sides.
2. Center the fabric wrong side up on the bottom of the case. Pin in place along all four edges.
3. Fold one short edge of the fabric up 1/2 inch and press with an iron. Then fold it up another 1/2 inch and press again. Repeat on the other short edge.
4. Fold one long edge of the fabric over 1/2 inch, then again over 1/2 inch. Pin in place.
5. Sew a seam along both short edges and one long edge, using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Start and stop your stitching 1/2 inch from each end of the fabric to create a 1-inch gap.
6. Trim the corners of the fabric at an angle, making sure not to cut through the stitching.
7. Turn the fabric right side out through the opening in the long edge seam. Press flat with your hands, then uses an iron to press the seams open.
8. Insert your gun into the case and close the opening in the seam.
